While the high school spring sports season was cancelled, a local golfer got to end her high school career at the state golf meet, even if it was a year earlier than expected. At last year’s regional meet at Pleasantville, PCM finished just shy of a state bid as a team, but one individual got through to the state meet.
Brooke Dross finished in sixth place with 96 strokes, and was the last individual to qualify from that regional. She went on to place 60th in the Class 2A state meet at the Ames Golf and Country Club with a total score of 232.
Dross and twin sister Alexis missed out on their senior seasons this past spring, but will both be taking their talents to St. Ambrose University in the fall.
