After competing as a team at the state meet last year on the blue oval at Drake University, the young Indianola girls track and field team will return a lot of state meet experience for next year’s squad despite not having a season in 2020. Rachel Engelhardt is one of those athletes, and tells KNIA Sports it makes next year even more exciting.

“I felt more of a pressure, more of wanting myself but also my team to experience that again because walking out there and being in front of everyone, that is experience you don’t get anywhere else. It just proves that hard work really pays off.”
