When the high school spring sports season was cancelled, it left many unanswered questions. No one will ever know what would have been accomplished, but it’s easy to speculate what may have happened. Pleasantville boys golf coach Chuck Sinclair says that his one and only senior, Isaac Roe, could have been very successful, and even had a chance to make it to state.
“Isaac Roe is one of the best and brightest to walk the halls at Pleasantville, his character just radiated throughout. When I first took this job, he was the first person that I contacted, we had several meetings before I reached out to any of the other kids. He would’ve been a four-year starter, of course he was a captain of our team. Last year he won the Colfax-Mingo invitational. Basically out at the golf course weather permitting or sometimes weather not permitting, working on his craft.”
Roe lost the chance to compete in his senior year of high school, but he’ll be joining the men’s golf program at Simpson College this fall.
