The City of Indianola will continue to follow the guidelines of the plan set out to open public buildings and programs, set in phases to provide the best practices to keep employees and the public safe. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the city will be cautious and will make sure to use the best information available when making decisions.
“Just because we can doesn’t mean we should, we are going to take it slow, evaluate the data, see what it shows and determine where to go from there. We will also take into account what the Governor says and what the CDC recommends. We will have upcoming discussions with the council about city facilities and parks, meaning playgrounds and the swimming pool.”
The Indianola City Council will provide guidance to city staff at their next meeting, scheduled for Monday, June 1st.
