The summer sports season in Iowa will begin with practices on June 1st, and games begin on June 15th. Indianola High School Activities Director Lee Nelson tells KNIA News students and fans will have to adhere to guidelines set out by the state such as social distancing, but a lot of the enforcement of the guidelines will come down to making smart choices.
“We have got to operate with a great deal of common sense, and know that we can’t police every single thing at all times. So it will come down to our fans, to our coaches, to our players, and to whoever else is a part of this, we’ve got to make sure that we are doing the things that keep ourselves and keep others healthy.”
