The Twin Cedars Baseball Squad finished 14-13 last season and in the middle of the pack in the Bluegrass Conference. For the Sabers that was good for last season, but this season Twin Cedars wants bigger and better things. Coach Mark Schroeder has a theme this season that he does not want to be average this summer. Schroeder tells KRLS Sports the guys are ready to take the challenge of being better than average.
Schroeder:
“Everything we’re doing we’re not going to be average, and I think the guys are buying into that. Depending on how you look at that, last season was a success getting to above 500, but the guys have a little more fire and that want to be better than fourth in the conference or just a game over 500 I think.”
The Sabers are scheduled to start the season June 16th at home against Murray.
