The City of Indianola has seen local businesses be cautious when opening up despite the green light go-ahead from Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the city has helped whatever businesses that have asked for guidance on re-opening such as restaurants and gyms, but he has seen more of a wait-and-see approach.
“I think our community has been very cautious about opening up despite the green light. Many have chosen not to open full on and to continue providing the carry out and curbside pickup they were doing. And that’s their choice and responsibility, and the city is here to help if they do decide to open up.”
Waller also said the city is taking the same approach of taking it slow, while continuing to work on their plan to fully reopen.
