A very young Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad will hit the field this summer. The Saints finished last season at 6-24 and struggled in several areas. However, as young as the Saints are, they have varsity experience and Coach Pat Ferguson tells KNIA Sports they will be better for it this season.

Ferguson:
“Only having them out there is going to help our program. Being on varsity last year, they figured out the speed of the game, the speed on the basepaths, and how much smarter players are.”

The Saints are scheduled to start the season June 16th at Lamoni.
