Practice begins for the summer sports season on Monday, and the Indianola softball squad is ready to put their shutdown workouts to the test. Head coach Stacy Evans tells KNIA News when talking with her team it is apparent that not only are they ready to go, they are thankful they get a chance to play.

“All our athletes are sharing the same reaction I am, we are pumped. We are ready. We’ll see what it brings. There is going to be a lot of obstacles, but managing through them with a good administration and coaching staff, educating the girls up front, we can make this a unique season and one that they will never forget.”

Evans also said she appreciates the hard work of the activities department to help the team get ready for the season.
