The Iowa Legislature returns to session on Wednesday, and have separated their schedule into non-budget and budget work sessions. State Senator Julian Garrett tells KNIA News the legislature will work two days on non-budgetary items this week, then beginning next week dedicate the entire week to the fiscal year budget, and more if necessary. Garrett also said he doesn’t anticipate a long session, but the length will be determined mainly on the budget.
