Indianola High School senior Anna Marvelli won’t have to travel far to compete at the next level for volleyball, as she has committed to Central College for the next season. Marvelli is coming off of a season where she led the Indians to a 27-18 record, with a team high 376 kills, 280 digs, as well as kill efficiency with 27.9%. She joins a Central Dutch team that went 17-13 overall, but just 2-6 in a competitive American Rivers Conference. Marvelli tells KNIA Sports it’s a common answer for a favorite memory of high school sports, but spending time with her teammates is something she will never forget.
“It sounds a little cliche, but the bus rides that we’ve had going to meets and coming home, we’d all be singing and having a good time even if the meet didn’t go great it was something to forget about on those bud rides. That was really an enjoyable time for me.”
To hear the full interview, Marvelli is featured on today’s Indianola Spring Sports Spotlight.
