The Knoxville Public Library’s Summer Reading Program began this week. As COVID-19 continues to impact daily life throughout the country, the Knoxville Public Library is doing what they can to continue to provide programs and entertainment for people who want to continue social distancing, but still want to take part in the library events. Children’s Librarian Holly Shelford tells KNIA/KRLS News all the Summer Reading Program performers will be online for children to enjoy from the comfort of their own home. Shelford says she will also be conducting story time online as well as holding craft events online as well. She says the library will also offer activities to get kids out of the house.
The library will host the Rick Eugene Magic Show online today to help entertain local children from afar. The program will be uploaded on the library’s website and Facebook page at 10 a.m. and will be available for viewing through July 30th.
