fair-2020

The Marion County Fair announced Wednesday that all entertainment has been postponed until 2021. This includes the Lonestar and Craig Morgan Concert, Carnival, Pro Wrestling, Truck Pull and other daily kid activities.

At this time the fair plans on proceeding with the livestock portion of the fair as planned, however,  they will offer a “show and go” option to any exhibitor that chooses. Exhibitors have until July 1st to decide if they are going to use the ‘show and go” option.

All rules around the Livestock Shows will remain the same, unless exhibitors choose the “show and go” option, then they will be required to weigh their animals in the night before the show day at 5:00pm.

Exhibitors must decide if you are going to use the “show and go” option by July 1st and decide if they would like a pen in the barns upon arrival the day of their respective show.

All “show and go” exhibitors will be required to have health papers for their animals PRIOR to showing up at the fairgrounds.

The Livestock Auction is still TBD. The fair is working on a plan to make something happen.

If exhibitors choose the “show and go” option, they will be ineligible to have their animals in the Livestock Auction.

There will be camping at the fairgrounds as usual.

There will be no concession stand.

Spectators will be allowed at the livestock shows, but Social Distancing of staying 6 feet apart from others is recommended.

Gatherings on all parts of the grounds should be limited to less than 10 people in a group.

There will be hand sanitizer stations placed at entrances of the livestock barns.

Bathroom facilities will be cleaned multiple times throughout the day

There will be no Open Shows.
