Another round of severe thunderstorms passed through south central Iowa, with several warnings impacting most of Marion and Warren Counties early this morning.
The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air from 4:35 a.m. to 6:18 a.m. this morning with five staff members and Weatherology Meteorologists providing live coverage as winds at approximately 60 MPH were recorded just north of Warren County. Heavy rainfall and frequent lighting were reported as well, with six total Severe Thunderstorm Warnings impacting Marion and Warren Counties.
The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on the air for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for any portion of Marion and Warren Counties, with backup generators ensuring the coverage stays on if the power goes out.
