A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for most of central Iowa until 7 a.m. Conditions are favorable for the development of storms capable of producing large hail and damaging winds, as well as brief downpours through the early morning hours. The storms will be scattered in nature. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on the air for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for any portion of Marion and Warren Counties.
