The Marion County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session today. The board will hold a public hearing to discuss the Prairie Ridge Development Agreement in Pella as well as consider a resolution authorizing execution of the agreement following the public hearing. They will hold a public hearing regarding a proposed fiscal year 2020 Marion County budget amendment and consider a resolution adopting the amendment and expense appropriations.

The board will discuss and take action as necessary regarding a special event application from Cairn Yoga and Wellness Studio to provide Free Yoga on the Lawn every Saturday through August 29th 2020. They will consider a resolution setting a public hearing date for the disposition of county property to the Marion County Fair Board as well as consider a resolution designating a temporary newspaper for the publication of legal notices. The board will discuss and take action as necessary regarding departmental reorganization and position eliminations for Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems and Senior Nutrition. They will hold a closed session to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance, or discharge is being considered. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and will be held via Zoom.
