The Indianola Public Library Board of Trustees voted to reopen the library starting this Monday. Library Director Michele Patrick tells KNIA News the new start time will be at noon each day, and there are several new safety precautions and procedures in place.

“Among the changes include no group seating, one person can sit at a table but large groups can’t sit together. We added safety shields at the circulation desk, in addition to a lot of extra cleaning and disinfecting as much as possible. We are also going to continue to quarantine books, so they will have to wait up to 7 days before they are put back into circulation.”

Patrick also said many of the summer programs will take place online. For more information, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola.
