Whether due to graduation, underclassmen not returning, or injury, the Pella baseball pitching staff will feature several young arms filled with potential this summer.

And it will be up to Senior Tanner Dunsbergen to lead the pitching staff as a senior. In 2019, Dunsbergen led the team in wins (3), innings (48 ⅔), pitches (772), and strikeouts (29), to the tune of a 3.16 ERA and 1.40 WHIP. Dunsbergen says he’s been working to elevate his game to become a true ace on the staff this season despite the strange lead up to Monday’s opening day.
