The Indianola City Council discussed new housing developments at their most recent meeting, including a rezoning application for a senior-living apartment complex. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the new complex would be near the Indianola Industrial Park, and fits in well with the transition from industrial to residential.

“This is an age restricted apartment complex for seniors, approximately 50 units, and mirrors with what the comprehensive plan is looking for. The building would be a good buffer from an industrial type area to the full family-housing residential area to the south, and serves as a transitional buffer.”

The Indianola Comprehensive Plan, Elevate Indianola, includes a priority on new residential growth and housing developments.
