First year Knoxville Baseball Coach Turner Devore will look to his three seniors to provide leadership this season and be an important part of the starting nine. Carter Bailey, Ben Olson, and Colton Jones have stepped up to be the leaders even before practice started nearly two weeks ago. Devore tells KRLS Sports those three plus a few juniors have also risen to the occasion to provide important advice to the younger players.

Devore:
“They’re really out those young guys, they’re not afraid to speak up and help the young guys and critique them or try to help them as much as possible. Bode Cox and Mike Hudson have tried to help as much as possible. We’re all a team and we have to put things aside to get better and better and have a chance to win.”

Devore says he can see improvement just in the past couple of weeks since practice has started. The Panthers will get their season started Tuesday at Bondurant-Farrar.
