Regardless of how the postseason run goes for the Pella Christian baseball team, they will have the chance to play at the place many kids dream of competing when growing up.

The Eagles will face conference rival Grinnell at Principal Park–the home of the state baseball tournament, in Des Moines on Wednesday, June 24th at 4 p.m. for a regular season matchup.

For Pella Christian Seniors Cameron Vander Waal, the opportunity to compete at the venue is a dream come true, and while he’s hopeful they can qualify for the Class 2A state tournament, he’s excited they have a trip on the schedule already.

“That was the key part of the season, and that was mostly why I wanted this season to go on–just so we can have that moment at Principal Park together,” he says.
