Kyle Larson stole the show last night at night one of the World of Outlaws Brownells Big Guns Bash at the Knoxville Raceway. Larson, one of the hottest drivers in the nation, ran his personal winning streak to four in a row after taking the lead from Donny Schatz on a restart with 15 laps remaining and running away from the field winning by nearly three-seconds. Schatz settled for second while David Gravel, who was impressive early on, would come home third place. Larson told KNIA/KRLS Sports when he was at the raceway back in May, he was not as good but after a couple of tweaks, he has been happy with the outcomes.
Larson:
“We’ve made some small gains and it paid off tonight. It was cool to drive by Gravel, who’s been really good here lately, and Schatz, who’s won so many times. It feels good, and a lot of hard work went into this and hopefully we can build on it.”
Larson and the rest of the Outlaws will be back again tonight for night two of the Brownells Big Guns Bash. KNIA will have live coverage with Live Track Side at 5:00pm and Race Nights Live at 7:00pm.
