The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad plated nine runs in the second innings and left no doubt in its game against East Union in a 14-5 thumping of the Eagles on Wednesday night. BrieAnna Remster and Paeytn Anderson combined to go 6/8 on the night and six RBI with one of Remster’s hits a home run. Casey Enfield got the win in the circle going five innings, allowing five runs on six hits, walking one and striking out three. The baseball squad fell to Southeast Warren 21-3. The Saints were led by a two run double by Cole Metz. Owen Suntken started the game and went 3 1/3 innings. The Saints softball squad is 2-0 while baseball is 0-2 on the season and both will host arch-rival Twin Cedars tonight.
