The PCM baseball and softball teams both return to action this evening, playing host to Gilbert in Heart of Iowa Conference action. The Mustang baseball team will face one of its stiffer tests of the young season, as Gilbert is atop the conference at 4-0. The Tigers bring in one of the more balanced top to bottom lineups in the conference, which should keep the Mustangs on their toes much of the night.
The PCM softball team will try to string more consistent scoring together after a 1-3 start to the season. Gilbert is off to a 3-1 start to the season, with wins over conference foes North Polk and Greene County.
Both games are slated for 7:30 p.m. start times. The softball game takes place in Monroe, while the baseball game takes place in Prairie City.
