After celebrating the Class of 2020 over the weekend with graduation, the Pella baseball and softball teams return to summer sports action Monday. Both varsity groups will play two in Norwalk later today, each trying to bounce back after tough endings to week one — the Lady Dutch softball team is 0-4 and searching for win No. 1 after striking out 18 times to Indianola’s Kate Kralik to wrap up the first round of competition, while the 3-2 baseball team will try to bounce back after dropping an 8-1 non-conference tilt against Gilbert Thursday night. Norwalk’s softball team is also seeking to find victory after going 0-3 against ranked Indianola and Dallas Center-Grimes in the opening week, while the Warriors baseball team is trying to build off of a Wednesday win over Indianola after Friday’s games against Pella Christian were cancelled due to weather. First pitch in Norwalk is at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
