Local businesses in Indianola, Carlisle, and Norwalk, as well as those located in the smaller town around the county all participated in the Small Business Recovery Grant Program funded by local municipalities. Rachel Gocken with Warren County Economic Development tells KNIA News putting the grants together required many community organizations working for a common goal.
“We knew that there was a need for this, so I think it was really inspiring that everybody just started to figure out how to make this happen. It was a really short turnaround time to answer whether or not each community would be participating, and they went out and got it done.”
