The Des Moines Partnership Small Business Grants recently approved by the Indianola City Council and Warren County Board of Supervisors went to 16 Indianola businesses and 12 businesses not within Indianola, Norwalk, or Carlisle city limits. Warren County Economic Development Corporation was a contributing partner for the grant program, which was funded by the cities and Warren County, and private investment from local organizations which was matched by the DM Partnership. Executive Director of the WCEDC Rachel Gocken tells KNIA News the private investment showed a commitment to our community during this time.

“I really want to give a shout out to Peoples Bank and TruBank for stepping up with the private investment, because they are local businesses as well. I think it says a lot when businesses are contributing to help out other businesses, so kudos to them. It takes everybody together to make this kind of thing happen.”
