Black Lives Matter protesters gathered again in Indianola Tuesday morning, marching up and down Highway 65/69 and the Indianola downtown square. The protests mark a continuation of gatherings taking place in Indianola since early June that have seen hundreds participate, as well as a celebration of Juneteenth this past weekend at Moats Park. Over 10 people attended the Tuesday protest. Black Lives Matter is a national organization whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes.
