The dream of kids who want to play Iowa High School baseball is to make it one day to Principal Park. And while it won’t be at the state tournament, the Pella Christian baseball team is making a return to the home of state champions past and the Iowa Cubs as they face Grinnell this afternoon.

The last time the Eagles played at Principal Park was on June 28th, 2016, when Pella Christian rallied for seven runs in the 7th inning to win 10-7 over Ballard after trailing 7-3 in the 6th inning.

Both the Eagles and Tigers come into today’s game at 1-5 overall and searching for a needed win. Pregame coverage for Pella Christian vs. Grinnell at Principal Park starts at 3:45 p.m. today on 92.1 KRLS, with first pitch at 4 p.m. from Des Moines.
