The Indianola City Council met in special session Wednesday. The council approved the payment of claims and year end transfers. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the purpose of the annual special meeting at the end of June is to essentially make sure all the city bills are paid heading into the next fiscal year beginning on July 1st. The council also entered into closed session to discuss the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance, or discharge is being considered.
