prayer-walk-2

Last September residents in Knoxville came together for the first ever Knoxville Community Prayer Walk. The walk featured a large crowd of residents meeting together in prayer at the Knoxville Panther Park before being divided up into smaller groups to pray in a variety of different locations including the Knoxville High School, Knoxville Raceway and the Knoxville Public Library among others. Over 240 people from 18 different churches and a variety of ages took part in the event which also included live entertainment.

Recently, organizers of the event announced the date of the 2nd annual Knoxville Community Prayer Walk. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, August 30th with an invitation extended again to every person in Knoxville who would like to pray for the community.  Anyone interested in continuing to receive information about the prayer walk can follow @knoxvilleprayerwalk on Facebook and Instagram. Organizers continue to share weekly prayer requests every Sunday on social media for the entire Knoxville community to uphold in prayer.
