The Little and Lady Dutch summer teams are hoping the storms stay away tonight so they can make the short trek down Highway 163 for a rivalry doubleheader at Oskaloosa this evening.

It’s been a topsy-turvy week for the Pella baseball team — splitting with Norwalk after a late comeback in game two of a doubleheader Monday, losing a 10-0 in a heartbreaking loss to No. 3 Centerville, and bouncing back with a dominating 12-2 six inning win over Newton Wednesday.

Today will be a tough test for a Lady Dutch team with newfound confidence after earning their first win of the year on Wednesday at Newton, as they face the No. 8 in Class 4A Indians. Oskaloosa has three tough losses to three ranked teams, but dominated Newton Thursday night in a doubleheader sweep. Varsity action is scheduled to begin at 3:00 this afternoon in Oskaloosa.
