Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services will transfer its Pella Clinic to Heartland Christian Counseling owned by spouses Heidi Vermeer-Quist, Psy.D., clinical psychologist and clinic director, and Chad Quist, P.A.-C., M.B.A., director of operations. The couple took ownership of the Pine Rest Des Moines Clinic in 2018

The center’s staff will continue providing behavioral health care to the community. The clinic will remain at its current location at 2611 Washington Street, Westport Medical Plaza, Pella. The current Pine Rest Pella Clinic manager Jean Holthaus, L.I.S.W., will relocate to Pine Rest’s main campus in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Heidi Vermeer-Quist said in a statement, “There’s great compatibility between the missions and values of the two organizations. This compatibility, combined with our desire to ensure ongoing access to high quality behavioral health services within the communities serviced by this clinic, made us excited to invest in this clinic.”

The transition between the two organizations will be complete by September.

“We believe that local management will provide higher levels of support for staff, allow for ongoing development of services which serve this community, and further develop the strong community relationships built over the past 43 years,” says Pine Rest Pella Clinic manager Jean Holthaus, L.I.S.W.
