The Indianola Police Department will be joining other agencies around Warren County and the State of Iowa in increased traffic enforcement efforts over the 4th of July holiday weekend. Indianola Police Captain Brian Sher tells KNIA News he knows that with everyone practicing social distancing the last several months the urge will be to go out and celebrate, but he cautions that everyone should do so safely. Sher also said the Indianola Police Department will be enforcing the city fireworks ordinance, which allows for fireworks to be lit off July 3rd and 5th from 9am to 10pm, and July 4th from 9am to 11pm.
