The Knoxville Community School District has announced they will host an immunization clinic on Monday, July 20th from 11am – 1pm in the Knoxville High School commons. Nurse Angie Mitchell with the district tells KNIA/KRLS News the district wanted to hold the clinic with Marion County Public Health to make sure students could receive their immunizations prior to next school year as many providers who would normally provide immunizations have been closed due to COVID-19.

Marion County Public Health will be on site to give free immunizations to students who meet one of the following: American Indian, those receiving Medicaid, those with no insurance or those with insurance that doesn’t cover vaccinations. Participants are asked to pre-register by sending an email to Angie Mitchell by Wednesday, July 15th.
