The cases of the COVID-19 virus are trending up within the Indianola city limits since the latest update on June 25th, bringing the total to 75 cases in the city and 15 not within city limits but inside the Indianola Fire District. The growth within the Indianola Fire District shows a growth of 9 cases since last Thursday, with Warren County seeing a significant rise in cases from 201 to 249, with 208 recoveries and 2 deaths.
The most recent Marion County Situation Report also shows a significant rise in cases in the last week, rising by 16 cases and currently sits at 72 cases with 52 recoveries and no deaths.
According to the Harvard Global Health Institute, Warren County is averaging 7.8 cases per day per 100k people. The recent rise also shows Marion County with it’s highest 7-day average rise in cases with 6 new cases per day per 100k people. Iowa as a state has the 15th highest growth rate in the nation, with 12.2 cases per day per 100k people.
