The Class 1A and 2A high school baseball teams of Iowa now know their path to Principal Park and the 2020 state tournament after the Iowa High School Athletic Association released the postseason brackets.
Pella Christian will open as a doubleheader host and the No. 3 seed in 2A District 11. The Eagles will host Cardinal on Saturday, July 11th at 7 p.m. Hear every Pella Christian postseason game live on 92.1 KRLS. The winner would then head to Eddyville to take on Davis County. Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, Albia, and Chariton round out the bracket.
In the same substate pairing, which is Class 2A District 12, Pleasantville will open against West Central Valley at home, with the winner taking on No. 1 Van Meter. That contest will also be held on July 11th at 7 p.m. In 2A District 13, PCM heads to State Center to take on South Hamilton at 4:30 that afternoon, with the winner facing No. 9 ranked Roland-Story in the second round.
Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars are both in Class 1A District 11, as the Saints and Sabers both head to Martensdale in a doubleheader. Twin Cedars will play against Lynnville-Sully, while Melcher-Dallas takes on host and No. 1 in Class 1A Martensdale-St. Marys. The first game starts at 4:30 p.m. on July 11th.
