2020 Tulip Queen and Royal Court

While it wasn’t exactly Tulip Time in Pella, it was an opportunity for the reigning Tulip Queen and Royal Court to showcase months of hard work.

Tulip Queen Hanna Kendall was officially crowned two months after what was supposed to be the 85th annual Tulip Time, a moment she long hoped she could still have even after the COVID-19 pandemic ended that originally planned celebration. Following the coronation, Kendall and Tulip Court Attendants Molly Bolt, Courtney Chaplin, Jocelyn Gritters, and Ellie Roorda performed the presentation they prepared to share across the state to promote the annual festival.

Tulip Time Burgemeester Randy Sikkema led the presentation as he normally would during the celebration, and 2019 Tulip Queen Olivia Vander Leest passed on her crown and gave a brief address to the crowd.
