The Knoxville Community School District on Thursday shared a video with parents and students in the district explaining the district’s Return to Learn Plan. The video features Knoxville School’s Superintendent Cassi Pearson breaking down the plan to have regular school days in district buildings for all students beginning August 20th. Pearson says the plan will only change if the Governor issues a proclamation requiring Iowa schools to go to virtual learning. Pearson says if the governor does issue a proclamation the district will have devices for every student and will work with families who might need additional assistance to make sure they have a good internet connection. Pearson says as of now, the district is hoping to have all students back in buildings this fall.
She says students with health concerns will have an option for online learning through Knoxville Schools and registration information will be shared in the next two weeks.
