The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday morning at the new Raceway Tire and Exhaust location at 1318 W. Bell Avenue. Raceway Tire and Exhaust celebrated the opening of their new facility which was built following a roof collapse at their old facility on January 23rd, 2019 due to heavy snow. The new facility is larger than their former building with an additional service bay, a bigger parking lot and better traffic flow for people coming and going. Owner of Raceway Tire and Exhaust, Travis Thompson spoke during the ceremony and explained that the new facility took longer than expected to be built because he wanted to take time and make sure the facility was built to their specific specifications instead of trying to rush things and cut corners. Thompson says he believes the new location has already worked out great for his business and customers. Attendees of the ceremony were able to tour the new facility.
