The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad will continue on its road in postseason as the Saints travel to Martensdale-St. Mary’s for a class 1A region five quarterfinal. The Saints were able to easily fend off Murray 17-2 on Monday night while the Blue Devils were afforded a first round bye. The Saints have been riding the pitching from freshman BrieAnna Remster this season. Remster is 12-3 on the season. In 82 innings of work she has allowed 72 hits, with 90 strikeouts and had a 2.91 ERA. Martensdale-St. Mary’s has dominated the series in recent meetings including a 16-3 win back in 2018. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00pm. The winner gets to the regional semi-finals against either Grandview Christian or BGM on Friday.
