The Indianola softball team had a short season cut even shorter near the end, but will still hold the #12 overall ranking going into postseason play. Indians head coach Stacy Evans tells KNIA Sports the Indians face a lot of adversity this season, and know they need to keep improving all the way up to the postseason.

“You want to get better, but we can never say that we are so good we can’t keep improving. We can’t be complacent, because we had a target on us this season with everyone saying they want to beat Indianola. So we need to know that and need to get better.”

The Indians will next play in the regional final with an opponent yet to be determined, but #3 West Des Moines Valley is on the other side of the bracket, taking on the winner of 5-8 Des Moines Lincoln and 1-23 Des Moines North.
