With the season over for the Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad, the Saints had a lot of bright spots on the squad this season. One was pitcher BrieAnna Remster. The freshman in 92 innings of work this season walked 51 and struck out 103 batters. She had a 2.43 ERA and teams batted just .185 against her. Not only was Remster good in the circle, she was also effective at the plate with a .407 batting average with 24 hits, five home runs and 29 RBI to lead the Saints. The Saints had four girls with at least 24 hits this season led by Haley Godfrey with 34. Kynser Reed had 26 hits and eighth grader Paetyn Anderson clubbed out 25 hits, and all four girls will be back next season. The Saints finished the shortened summer with a 15-6 record, and runner up in the Bluegrass Conference.
