It’s been nearly two years since a tornado ravaged the Vermeer mile, and in the time since, the corporation is continuing strong growth and recovery.
CEO and President of Vermeer Corporation Jason Andringa says the hardest hit area is nearly rebuilt, as Plant 7 is nearing functional completion. Additionally, Andringa says they’ve had the Eco Center up and running for a few months and were able to recover other damaged areas much faster.’
As part of the two-year anniversary remembrance, Jason and his mother Mary sat down with Harry Smith of NBC News and the Central College Board of Trustees for a podcast detailing the last two decades of Vermeer and the challenges faced by the dot-com bubble bursting, the Great Recession of 2009, the tornado, and now COVID-19.
