After its thrilling win over Pella on Thursday night, the Knoxville Softball Squad will try to shock the world and knock off the class 4A #1 ranked team in the state tonight. The Panthers travel to Carlisle with a Mt. Kilimanjaro-like task ahead of them. The Wildcats are 16-3 with their only losses to class 3A #1 Albia Class 4A #3 Fairfield, and class 5A#1 Ft. Dodge. Knoxville Coach Carla Smith tells KRLS Sports, Knoxville will have to play its best game.

Smith:
“We’ll just have to come to play. We’ll have to find their weakness and scout them. We’ll have to play better than we did tonight, we can’t leave 11 players on base, they’re going to take advantage on their end, and we’ll just have to be ready to play.”
