One game, seven innings. That is what stands between Twin Cedars and a trip to the class 1A state softball tournament on Monday night, plus fifth ranked Wayne. The Sabers and Falcons played earlier this season and Wayne won convincingly 10-0 in the second game of the season. Since then, the Sabers have climbed to 11th in the 1A rankings and have played class 3A #1 Albia close and class 1A #1 Collins/Maxwell to a close game. Cach Zack Dunkin says his team cannot be intimidated and does not think they will be.
Dunkin:
“We played the schedule for a purpose and that purpose was to get to this time of the season, and you’re going to face pitchers and teams this time of the season. There shouldn’t be an intimidation factor and the girls know they have a chance to compete.”
Game time is at 7:00pm at the Wayne Sports Complex in Corydon.
