The Knoxville Softball Squad finished up a 10-5 season on Saturday with an 11-2 loss to #1 ranked Carlisle. The Panthers had several great moments this season and quickly became known as the comeback kids when they would get down early and come back in the later innings to post wins. Coach Carla Smith was proud of her team’s efforts all season and hopes they can take the offseason to get better at several things.

Smith:
“I told the girls that we can compete, we have to do a better job on the base paths and getting timely hits. Overall I was proud of them the whole season.”

Pitching will be a position to watch next season for the Panthers as they return all of the pitching staff from this season.
