The Indianola City Council gave direction to city staff to remove the Indian logo on city owned property, namely the Indianola Police Department vehicles, uniform patches, and badges. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News removing the graphic from the vehicles was easy, and city staff will continue to work on the other items.

“The department staff will be working on coming up with a new insignia for the patches and badge design. We don’t have a timetable yet, Chief Button and I talked a little bit about it so far, but we’ll be able to further fill in the timeframe on that moving forward.”
