The deadline to submit proposals for the redevelopment of the Knoxville Veterans Affairs campus is approaching. Two parties have expressed interest, with no proposals made. Knoxville mayor Brian Hatch says that if the marketing window passes with no proposals, the city has a plan in place for its own redevelopment, including working with Confluence of Des Moines to put together a master development plan.

The marketing window closes August 14th, and interested parties will have 30 days to put together an official proposal.
