Five Melcher-Dallas Softball Players reviewed first team all-Bluegrass Conference this summer. Kynser Reed was third in the conference with four home runs this season, while Paetyn Anderson was the only eighth grader named to the first team as she was ninth in the conference with 25 hits, the highest rated eighth grader in that department. Also making first team was Haley Godfrey who led the Saints in nearly every hitting stat with 34 hits, a .531 batting average, and a .565 on base percentage were all also tops in the conference. Riley Enfield also made first team. Enfield’s speed allowed her to swipe ten bases in ten attempts this summer and BrieAnna Remster earned first team all-conference as a utility player. She struck out the most batters in the conference with 103 and had the fourth best ERA with 2.43. Earning second team was Angel Beaty ,Kacey Enfield and Lilly Bennett while Grace Overgaard earned honorable mention. The Saints finished 15-6 this summer and fell to Martensdale-St. Mary’s in the class 1A regional last week.
